Oxford Schools superintendent Ken Weaver resigns after 9 months

The superintendent of Oxford Community Schools has resigned from the school district after serving just nine months in the top role.

Ken Weaver resigned in a letter to the community on Tuesday, citing health reasons. He replaced Tim Sloan as head of the district last March, months after a school shooting in which he was injured.

“Last month, my health, wellness and my own recovery from the events of November 30th.th “I am greatly affected by the stresses and responsibilities of my position,” he wrote.
